Flag Day is a message to the world to reflect the true meaning of coherence

HE Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary General of General Authority of Sports (GAS) conveyed his sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Their Highnesses the Memebers of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses the Crown Princes; Their Highnesses the Deputy Rulers, and all the Emirati citizens and residents on the occasion of the “Flag Day”, the flag of glory, dignity and patriotism, which occurs on 3rd November every year.
HE Saeed Abdul Ghaffar said: “The Flag Day is a special occasion as it marks the accession of Shaikh Khalifa as President of the UAE. It is also a national occasion that reflects the unity of the Emirati people, renews aspirations and ambitions for the glory and esteem of the UAE worldwide.”
“The Flag Day is a national ceremony through which the Emiratis express their pride and glorification to both their wise leadership and their beloved homeland. Raising the flag on this day bears testimony to the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the our beloved country, besides it is a heartfelt duty praised by both Emirati citizens and residents as well.” said HE Abdul Ghafar.
“Gathering around the UAE flag on this day symbolizes national unity and identity, fosters belonging among all the UAE citizens, and emphasizes love and loyalty to UAE flag. It is a commitment to sacrifice for our beloved country to remain lofty, flying high and strong as ever,” added His Excellency.
HE Abdul Ghafar added that celebrating the Flag Day is a message to the world, which reflects the true coherence, the sacred deep-rooted meaning of the UAE flag and belonging to this beloved country.
“The name of HH Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan will always remain a token of patriotic pride and esteem not only to all Emirati citizens and residents but to the whole world as well thanks to the values and principles he had instilled, which are well recognized by everyone who visits the Emirati good land,” concluded HE Abdul Ghafar.
