Abdul Ghaffar praises the success of the International Day of Happiness and honors the participants

Said Abdul Ghaffar Hussain , Secretary General of the General Authority for Sports (GAS), praised the efforts of the happiness and the quality of life committee of GAS and the volunteers in organizing the activities of the International Day of Happiness organized by GAS last March in the Al Saada Park in Al Khawaneej area in Dubai in the presence of a number of elders and GAS members of Board and officials shared with employees, senior citizens, orphans, people of concern and residents of the region.
Abdul Ghaffar said that a young team of national cadres is behind the great success of the festivals and activities of the Committee, that we are proud of and the high degree of organizing and directing the event in a way that received praise and admiration of all and achieved great success at various levels in terms of the high level attendance in programs prepared for the celebration and diverse activities, tolerance and innovation were at the forefront, as well as high-level specialized speakers, and the participation of entities and institutions through the accompanying sections. The Secretary-General also emphasized that the success achieved puts GAS and the staff in a great challenge to do better in future events.
He thanked the team, volunteers and participants as sponsors and supporters for contributing to the success of the celebration, which led to enhancing the happiness of the UAE and its inhabitants in the year of tolerance, to show the vision planted by HE Zayed on the land of good and among its children of Zayed.
In turn, Hessa Bint Abdullah Al Tunaiji, CEO of Happiness and Positive, pointed out that the follow-up and directives of the senior leadership in GAS and the cooperation of all members of the team have resulted in success in spreading happiness and promoting its concept of tolerance in the year of tolerance.
She thanked all the volunteer teams that contributed to the success of the celebrations and their desired appearance. This came during a tribute ceremony held by the GAS this morning for teams and volunteers in the GAS’ theater in the presence of Sheikha Mariam bint Saqr Al Qasimi, Said Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary General of the GAS and Hessa Bint Abdullah Al Tunaiji, CEO of Happiness and Positive and a number of staff and all organizational and voluntary teams.
