Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi meets the presidents of sport federations and committees

Maj. Gen. Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, held an open meeting in Abu Dhabi today with the presidents of sports federations and committees in the UAE. During the meeting, His Excellency General Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi welcomed the presidents of sports federations and committees, stressing that this meeting is an opportunity for acquaintance and exchange of views and dialogue, thus contributing to strengthening the system of work in the sports sector in the country. In a statement to reporters after the meeting, His Excellency said that the ambitions have no limits, especially in light of the unlimited support of our wise leadership for sports and athletes, stressing that the meeting was an opportunity to get acquainted with the new directions of the board. He added that the meeting was an ideal platform to meet with the various stakeholders in the sport sector in the country and to listen to the views as well as the concerns that concern them and identify the various obstacles to reach the appropriate solutions and praising everyone's keenness to attend this meeting and participate in it. He explained that the meeting resulted in a number of suggestions from the presidents of federations and sports committees, which are scheduled to be drafted and sent to the General Authority for Sport for its consideration and take the necessary action. His Excellency stressed the importance of organizing the administrative and financial work between the Authority and the sports federations, pointing out that the achievement of this matter is reflected on the sports side and contributes to the achievement of sports results and achievements. His Excellency expressed his optimism about the initiative of the UAE Talent Support Fund, pointing out that it contributes to the provision of ambitious programs for the sports sector in the future. He reiterated that the ambition is great for the Board of Directors of the Authority. He pointed out that during the coming period we will have to work diligently and expedite the implementation of various projects in support of the sports sector, which we have a clear diagnosis for its current situation.
He concluded his remarks by stressing that the meeting was fruitful and there is a tendency to repeat it three times throughout the year. For their part, a number of heads of sport federations expressed their happiness at this meeting, which was an ideal platform for exchanging views and listening to different points of view, all of which aim at achieving the country's sporting achievements. HE Marwan bin Ghalaita, Chairman of the Football Association, expressed his pleasure to meet with HE the President of the General Authority for Sport. He stressed that the meeting carried many positive messages and everyone is optimistic about the future of the UAE sport and there is keenness to work as a team to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and the happiness of the sports community. Sultan Bin Mujrin, Chairman of the Emirates Weightlifting Federation said that the meeting represented an opportunity to open direct cooperation and coordination between the Sport Authority and the Federation in order to contribute to the promotion of sport in the UAE. For his part, Ahmad Al-Kamali, Chairman of the Athletics Federation, expressed his happiness with the meeting with HE Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi. He pointed out that the meeting was titled "Optimism and Positive" and tackling the next stage and its directions, especially in light of the unlimited support of the State for the sports and the athletes.
