Integrated Management System Policy statement

The Ministry of Sports is committed to providing leading and sustainable services to all stakeholders in the field of organizing sports work, enhancing national identity, supporting development and competitiveness at the level of the United Arab Emirates within the highest levels of quality and excellence, and seeks to meet their requirements and exceed their expectations to satisfy the requirements of comprehensive development and keep pace with local and global developments in accordance with best practices and in accordance with the requirements of international standards for Quality Management System (ISO9001), Enterprise Risk Management (ISO31000), Environment Management (ISO14001) and Occupational Health And Safety Management (ISO45001).

In view of the key role played by the Ministry in drawing up the general policy for the UAE sports sector and setting plans and programs that would provide the appropriate environment that enables athletes to develop their physical capabilities and activate the various competitive and promotional aspects and strive towards improving the results of national teams at various levels, the Ministry seeks to ensure its ability to performing its role in full compliance with all legislative, legal, regulatory and other requirements that regulate the workflow in order to achieve its vision, mission and strategic objectives, and ensure optimal preservation of the environment and occupational health and safety requirements through:

  • Adopting and applying risk management policies and principles as part of an integrated control system.
  • Adopting and implement policies to manage and protect the infrastructure necessary to manage its activities and operations.
  • Integrating the requirements of the administrative systems within the Ministry's operations while ensuring regular review and continuous improvement to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Adopting goals for the integrated management system and developing plans to achieve them and work on managing and measuring them periodically to ensure the highest standards of quality and reduce diseases, injuries and accidents at work sites and reduce environmental pollution and risks affecting occupational health and safety.
  • Exerting maximum efforts in raising awareness of the requirements of the integrated management system and the roles and responsibilities in order to support the culture of transparency and clarity among the various administrative levels of the Ministry and the stakeholders through effective communication channels.
  • Raising the efficiency of human resources and technical expertise and train them according to best practices to enable them to perform their work efficiently, enhance their awareness and capabilities through participation and teamwork, and create a stimulating environment conducive to creativity to provide smart services.
  • Optimally employing available resources and cutting-edge technologies and using them as a catalyst for achievement and innovation.
  • Accordingly, based on the Ministry's commitment to the process of continuous development and improvement of its operations, the Ministry has published its policy to all stakeholders through the available communication channels to enhance knowledge and continue to review and update it periodically.
