"My health is in my sport" for the staff of the General Authority for Sports

As part of its efforts to promote health and health education for its employees, the General Authority for Sports (GAS) has organized Public Health Initiative (SEHA) for its employees aiming at adopting a healthy lifestyle both physically and psychologically by adopting positive thinking as a core value as well as adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Said Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary General of the GAS, praised this initiative, which he considered it a positive brick in contributing to the promotion of health education for employees, which reflects positively on achievement and performance and love of good and giving.
Abdul-Ghaffar said: I was keen to be at the forefront of the staff involved in these sports programs and medical examinations, in order to raise the morale of all in the initiative and achieving the personal care for the physical structure and safety for all, as the statement «healthy mind live in the healthy body» should be a goal for all employees, For a future free from the diseases of the times and other resulting from sitting behind desks and contemporary lifestyles under the accelerating pressures.
He also thanked the Ministry of Health, the Dubai Municipality and the participating companies and sponsors for the positive cooperation that delighted everyone and reflected the keenness of the governmental and private community institutions in the country to achieve the directions of good leadership and the UAE Vision 2021 and promote the concept of happiness and quality of life in the work environment.
The activities of the initiative were held in the lobby of the Authority with the participation of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Municipality and a number of companies and medical and health institutions, technical and traditional, in addition to fitness centers.
The initiative included a number of educational activities and festivals for employees such as sports competitions, medical tests and awareness activities on the importance of drinking water and eating fruits and vegetables and walking and sports, in addition to the distribution of healthy meals to participants.
