    The Ministry of Sports is keen to facilitate the process of accessing information and services through its website https://www.sports.gov.ae as the website contains several features that would help users, especially “people with special needs”, in accessing information or service. Also, inquiries about the Ministry’s competencies, laws and legislation, electronic services and the activities they desire in an easy and fast way. Among the features that facilitate browsing the site with a simple explanation of each step.

    • Website Structure

      The Ministry of Sports applies the standards of the World Wide Web (W3C) in designing its website and determining its general appearance, in order to facilitate the process of browsing and access to all the information and services it contains in a smooth manner.

    • User Profiles

      The ministry’s website contains different profiles for the people with dissabilities like dyslexia, ADHD, visually impaired, seizure and epilepsy, color blindness, impaired mobility etc. This can be selected from the profiles section of accessibility tool on the left bottom corner of the website.

    • Screen Reader

      The ministry’s website provides the “Screen Reader” feature for its users with special needs or those who suffer from visual impairment or find it difficult to read texts on the screen. This feature can be activated by clicking on the “Screen Reader” option.

    • Font and Text Options

      Using the accessibility tool in the Ministry’s website, user can increase or decrease the font size, letter spacing, words spacing, vertical text spacing, text alignment etc.

    • Highlight Links

      Using the accessibility tool in the Ministry’s website, user can highlight the available links in the website with an yellow line.

    • Page Structure

      Clicking the page structure option on the accessibility tool, displays the user about the general structure, available links, headings, page sections etc.

    • Contrast

      User can select their contrast option from the 3 available options(Light and Dark Contrast and inverted colors) from the accessiblity tool.

    • Saturation

      User can select the saturation option from desaturation, low saturation and saturation from the accessiblity tool.

    • Cursor

      User can change the size of the mouse cursor using the cursor option from the accessibility tool.

    • Translation

      Ministry’s website can be translated to any preferred language available in the accessibility tool.
