Community sports and competitiveness attracts visitors to Sports Authority pavilion

Under the direction of His Excellency Major General Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi, president of the General Authority for Sport, the general Authority for Sport participated in the sixteenth session of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Abu Dhabi 2018), in partnership with the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Arabian Horse Festival, which started today 24 of September, and lasts until 29th of this month, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ruler's representative in Al Dhafra region, president of the Emirates Club, with wide local and international participation.

H.E. Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi praised the co-operation between the General Authority for Sport and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Arabian Horse Festival, for the fact that the Authority is a major supporter of the festival, which is sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the direct attention of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Nahyan Which greatly contributed to the development and excellence of the festival races in its various tours and the world's interest in Arabian horses.

His Excellency expressed his happiness for the positive reactions and the great echo of the Authority's wing by the visitors of the exhibition and presence in the wing, which writes a certificate of success for the participation from the first day, stressing that such participations represent a point of contact with the public to publicize the tasks and competencies of the Authority and all that related to the sports sector and reply to all queries directly received.

Abdul Mohsen Fahad Al-Dossary, Secretary general of the general authority for sports, said that the exhibition is one of the most important annual stations that are concerned with the preservation of the sporting and cultural heritage, and we in the Authority are keen to participate in the part dedicated to the Sheikh Mansour Equestrian Festival, in translation to the Authority’s strategic objectives which are based on creativity and excellence in addition to the achievement of community participation in various events and activities to promote the activities of the Authority and its provision of sport services, and to provide to the different segments of the society all the information related to the sports sector.

Al Dosary expressed his thanks and gratitude to the management of the international Exhibition for hunting and equestrian and to the management of the festival of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Arabian horses for cooperation and harnessing all the possibilities to contribute to allow the participation of the Authority in the exhibition, and praised the team-based work of the Authority and big effort through the wing that achieved its goals.

The Authority's pavilion received prominent personalities, sports leaders and various segments of the visitors of the exhibition, who arrived in a remarkable way to see what is included in the Pavilion of the General Authority for Sport, which aims to promote community sports and competitiveness through activities and events based on prizes and competitions, awards and sporting gifts, as well as a review of a number of brochures and publications covering many important aspects of the work of the Authority.
