An open Sport Day for the female employees of the Authority

The General Authority for Sports organized an open sports day for female employees, the initiative, which was organized at the Zabeel Women's Club on Tuesday morning, 28 of August, was part of the country’s celebrations of UAE Women's Day.

Khalid Al Midfa, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Authority for Sport, said that everyone is testify that the UAE woman is a key partner in the development process in the country and has proved her competence in the various tasks entrusted to her in different locations and that what makes us proud of her accomplishments in various fields including leadership positions.

Al Midfa stressed that all these achievements and positions held by Emirati women are the result of the guidance and support of the wise leadership, which has made women a success behind most achievements and allowed them to put their mark in the development and the progress of the countrt, appreciating the unlimited support and the pioneering role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak " And the support of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, who stressed that in fact the woman has become one of the pillars of the cultural renaissance of any society. Women sport surpassed the achievements in tournaments, to form one of the pillars of the cultural renaissance of any society.

Al-Midfa pointed out in his statement to the mothers, daughters and wives of the martyrs, who were a typical example of sacrifice, allegiance, support and devotion, and a generous in their donation for the homeland.

"We in the General Authority for Sport, have set in mind the empowerment of women and the care of their sport as well as their support in the administrative, technical and supervisory leadership, and we have placed them within our priorities through our strategic objective of promoting women's sport and providing the environment for them. Today she became the athlete that achieves global accomplishments, she is the administrative director of women's committees on the boards of sports federations, she is the trainer who produced heroes and champions and she is the judge who ruled on various sports issues.

It is worth mentioning that the Authority has given female employees morning hours during the working hours to participate in various sport activities, which were allocated to Emirati women at the Zabeel Ladies Club in Dubai as a kind of appreciation and moral recognition for their tangible efforts in performance and achievement.
