An Elegant farewell Ceremony for Abdul Malik by the Authority

In the presence of a big crowd of sport federations leaders, The General Authority for Sports, held an elegant ceremony at the Bani Yas Hall in Hyatt Grand Hotel in Dubai in honor of Ibrahim Abdul Malik, the former Secretary-General of the Authority, after his resignation from the position of Secretary-General which he held since 2006. His resignation was submitted and accepted last April at the last board meeting. The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hashr bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, President of the Tennis Federation, HE Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Board, HE Humaid Al Qatami, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, HE colonel Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Rissi, President of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, members of the Board of Directors in the Sports Authority, Abdul Mohsen Fahd Al Dosari and Khalid Al Midfa, Assistant Secretary-Generals of the Authority and a group of heads and leaders of sport federations. His Excellency General Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi addressed the ceremony and thanked the "former" Secretary-General of the Authority, praising the unlimited support of the wise leadership of sports and athletes
He said "We all witness the successful march and the active role played by Ibrahim Abdul Malik during his years as Secretary General of the Authority, in supporting the sport movement, the achievements and successes that contributed to the promotion of the status of the UAE sport locally and abroad ». He said that the Authority had decided to hold the ceremony as a tribute to the march and all the efforts made by the former Secretary General, stressing that he deserves the words of praise and thanks. He concluded by saying: "Thank you Ibrahim Abdul Malik for what you have done and what you have offered, you have done your best and wish you all the best and success. The poet Jassem Al-Obeidly gave a poetic poem in which he praised the efforts of the former Secretary General in the field of sport. During the ceremony, the sports federations competed in honoring Ibrahim Abdul Malik through various souvenirs. The first was the Tennis Union, which was presented by Sheikh Hashr bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum who presented him with a valuable souvenir, followed by honors from Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Mualla head of the Arab Chess Union, The National Olympic Committee represented by His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Arif Al Awani, Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Football Federation represented by Marwan bin Ghalaita, Mohammed Abdulkarim Julfar, Chairman of the Handball Federation, Counselor Mohammed Al Sharif, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Marwan Ahmed Al Sawaleh head of school sport union, Maj. Gen. Ismail Al Gergawi, President of the Basketball Federation, Osama Al-Shafar, President of the Cycling Federation, Dr. Sarhan Al-Meini, Chairman of the Chess Federation; Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyudi, President of Taekwondo Federation and Ice Sports Federation, Emirates Rugby Federation; jujitsu Federation, Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Emirates Youth Homes Association, Athletes Association, and a number of other organizations.
