General Authority of Sports’ Secretary-General Welcomes Cuban Delegation

His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Sports, welcomed a high-profile Cuban sports delegation at the Authority’s headquarters in Dubai today. Thebyan Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the UAE Paralympic Committee, and Tariq Al-Suwaidi, the Committee’s Technical Advisor, were also present to greet the delegates, including Raul Fornes Valenciano, First Vice-President of Cuba’s National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER); International Relations Expert Judith Langaney Marrero; Alberto Juantorena Danger, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Cuba and of the Cuban Athletics Federation; and Elaine Martinez, Chargé D’affaires. The delegation explored opportunities for developing relations between the UAE and the Republic of Cuba, exchanging athletic expertise, and collaborating to develop the sports sector in both countries.
