Anti-Doping Awareness Programme launches
13/11/25

United Arab Emirates, November 13, 2025:
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports, the Elite Sport UAE (ESUAE), in partnership with the National Anti-Doping Agency, is set to launch the ‘Anti-Doping Awareness Programme’ on November 15, 2025. The initiative is in line with the UAE’s constant efforts to instil a culture of fair play and strengthen the values of transparency and responsibility within the sports community.
The program, which will run for four weeks, has been designed for a broader range of stakeholders in the sports sector, including physicians, athletes, officials, youth athletes and parents. It will feature a series of lectures and interactive workshops led by distinguished specialists and experts in the field of anti-doping.
Additionally, the program will cover various key themes, such as Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE), athletes’ rights and responsibilities, testing and sample collection procedures, and awareness on roles and obligations set in the National Anti-Doping Code. The final week of the program will include special activities for young athletes and parents using interactive tablets.
The ESUAE plays a key role in ensuring the success of this program. It ensures active participation of high-performance athletes and technical teams in workshops, contributes to the development of tailored educational content that fosters integrity and responsibility and directs efforts to building a healthy competitive environment in line with the highest international standards in anti-doping.
The program comes in line with the UAE’s continuous efforts to promote sports integrity and raise awareness on the risk factors of doping. Furthermore, it aims to equip various segments of the sports community with the requisite tools for prevention, reporting and sports governance, while strengthening community engagement to ensure a clean and sustainable sporting environment and reinforcing the global reputation and competitiveness of UAE sports.
