About Us:

The Supreme Government Ministry responsible for overseeing the sports sector in the country according to Federal Decree Law No. (28) of 2024 regarding the amendment of some provisions of Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the competencies of Ministries and powers of Ministers.

Our Role:

1. Setting up an environment that allows athletes to develop their physical skills.

2. Improves all aspects of competition and recreation and works to elevate the performance of the national teams at all levels.

3. Establishes plans and programs to achieve the desired objectives,

4. shapes the overall policy of the UAE's sports sector and supports, monitors, and ensures its affiliates' operations.

5. Makes decisions regarding the registration, mergers, suspension, or cancellation of the activities of its affiliates.

6. Approves the registered entities' organizational structures and financial, administrative, and financial rules.

Our Responsibilities:

1. Create plans and projects to implement the government's policies related to the sports sector.

2. Preparing and following up on the implementation of corporate governance standards approved by the Ministry for sports bodies.

3. Establish the framework and standards required to enhance the level of professionalism, integrity and sports ethics in the country and follow up on its implementation after its approval.

4. Promote sports culture across all societal divisions and help people adopt it as a way of life.

5. Achieve outstanding sports event results that advance the position of the UAE.

6. Take all appropriate actions to get the ' people of determination ' and women involved in sports activities.
