The General Authority for Sport celebrates the 46th National Day

The General Authority for Sports celebrated the 46th anniversary of the National Day at its headquarters in Dubai in the presence of Ibrahim Abdul Malik Mohammed Secretary General of the Authority and Assistant Secretaries Abdul Mohsen Fahd Al Dosari, Khalid Isa Al Midfa, and a number of presidents of federations, committees and members of the boards of directors and all employees of the Authority. The Authority was keen to prepare it in a manner appropriate to the status of the occasion in the hearts of all UAE citizens and residents through a program full of paragraphs that reflect the status of the anniversary.

On this occasion, the General Secretary of the General Authority for Sports, Ibrahim Abdul Malik Mohammed, extended his congratulations to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. And to the UAE people on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of the country, calling on the Almighty to protect them and perpetuate their pride.

He added that these celebrations are an expression of our love, loyalty and belonging to this generous nation and our leaders who gave us all the support, trust, encouragement and guidance. Hence it’s our duty to return the favor to them by contributing to the achievements and successes that make the UAE a beacon for all nations.

He said that this great anniversary, which we are proud of celebrating today, brings back the memory of the first generation, who made great efforts to lay the first brick for the union, who will continue to be remembered by history after his name was engraved in letters of light led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his late brother His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum may Allah have mercy on their souls.

For his part, Abdul Mohsen Fahd Al Dosari, Assistant Secretary General for Sports Affairs, extended his congratulations and greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highness the Sheikhs, members of the Supreme Council Rulers of the Emirates, and the people of the UAE on this precious occasion, praising its cherished status on the hearts of Emiratis and residents of the UAE.

Al-Dosari pointed out that the UAE sport today has many achievements in its various categories and fields, and it has become the focus of the world because of its facilities and infrastructure, administrative and technical expertise, and wise policy that draws its approach from the vision and aspirations of a rational leadership.

On the other hand, the Assistant Secretary General of the Authority, Khalid Isa Al-Midfa, extended the congratulations and greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to Their Highness the Supreme Council Members Rulers of the Emirates, and to the people of the UAE on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the establishment of the Emirates Union.

Al Midfa, Chairman of the National Celebrations Committee, said: "This year, we have been keen in our celebration to put a special methodology in its work and objectives. The events were distributed in several places, some around the Authority's vicinity and theater. The events and activities were various presented by affiliated youth and girls' centers in the country, in cooperation with the Dubai Scout Commission.

The Authority’s celebrations of the 46th national day, began with a march in which several government bodies participated, among them the cavalry of Al-Ahli Equestrian Club and the luxury cars of Dubai Police and Dubai Scouts members in the area adjacent to the Authority, led by the Secretary-General of the Authority and the Assistant Secretaries and a number of heads of federations, committees and board members and employees of the Authority. In the area opposite the building of the Authority, there were traditional tents that offered the traditional art shows and the popular cuisine that embodied the UAE hospitality along with a display of a number of classic cars and a number of external activities that mixed with tunes of Dibba military band, and on the stage platform the various words and expressions that sang for the homeland through folkloric shows and ditties as well as poetic morning through which a number of poets sang the most beautiful national poems
