General Authority for Sport succeeds in renewing ISO certificates

The General Authority for Sport succeeded in renewing the ISO certification. This came during a visit to the field by VINCOTTE, the internationally accredited and ISO Certification provider Company in the Middle East. The awarding came as a result of the General Authority's commitment to implement all the special standards for the approved systems. ISO 9001: 2008 - Environmental Management System ISO 14001: 2004 - Occupational Health and Safety System OHSAS 18001: 2007 - Community Accountability System IQNET SR 10 and Risk Management Certificate ISO. Rashid Al Mutawa, Director of Strategy and Future Management, Director of Excellence Projects at the General Authority for Sport, confirmed that the renewal of the ISO certificates represents an achievement in addition to the achievements of the Authority in the administrative and technical fields in a way that contributes to the improvement of the institutional work, stressing that these certificates represent continuity of the real start and motivation for further work and effort.
These projects are included in the strategic plans of the General Authority in the belief of the Supreme Leadership of its importance, which is an important means to develop institutional performance and our belief in the importance of applying the government's directives in the standards of quality and excellence, We have repeatedly stressed our continuation of the journey of excellence that we have started for years at the organizational level. All these operations aim to provide a safe and productive environment for production and innovation. The Chairman of the Excellence Projects and the representative of the Department explained that the work to accomplish this achievement began some time ago to implement the requirements and criteria for obtaining the accreditation of the certificates. A development team for the Integrated Management System was formed and the number of documented procedures reached 11 detailed procedures on communications, internal auditing, control and measurement. All environmental dimensions, occupational hazards, emergency plans and implementation of a large number of programs, initiatives and programs related to environmental requirements, occupational safety and risk management, as well as conducting more than 22 internal and external audits during 2017 for different departments, offices and centers, with an auditing plan for the next 3 years. A renewal is recognition of the culture of institutional quality. The Audit Committee has conducted several inspections of the organizational units of the General Authority. Its program included auditing the effectiveness of the regulations, legislations and regulations applied in the General Authority, ensuring that the quality requirements and management of occupational health and safety requirements are met and their conformity with international regulations. The mechanisms of the financial and administrative departments, the effectiveness of the strategic and operational plans, as well as measuring the effectiveness of sports, technical and other activities were also evaluated. In light of this audit, the General Authority for Sport has demonstrated its growing interest in implementing the Integrated Management System (IMIS) standards, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems applied at the level of its departments and centers, with an increasing awareness among its employees through their commitment to implement everything that promotes healthy and safe work environment, Whether big or small. Al Mutawa concluded his statement by praising the efforts of the members of the Institutional Excellence Team in the General Authority in their hard work and sincere desire to translate the direction and aspirations of the leadership in the General Authority, noting that there are many projects and initiatives that will be announced soon which are all within the strategy of 2017-2021 Vision and mission, noting that the outputs of these projects will be reflected positively on all sports institutions affiliated to it.
