Ryan Malhan tops BWF World Junior Rankings in landmark achievement for UAE Badminton
Al-Dosari hails the achievement of UAE champions in the Asian Games in Jakarta

Abdulmohsen Fahad Al Dosari, Acting General Secretary of the UAE General Authority for Sports, expressed his happiness at the five medals achieved at the Jakarta Asian Games, including two gold medals and three silver medals, as well as the qualification of the Olympic team for the quarter finals. He pointed out that the delegation hopes to win more medals during the upcoming competitions.
Al-Dosari said that the accomplishment of these achievements in one day will give the rest of the UAE athletes participating in the tournament a great moral boost to follow and compete for medals and reach to the podiums, especially as individual competitions are still going on.
For his part, Abdul Malik Jani, Vice President of the UAE Sport Delegation, said that the mission has won 5 medals during the Jujitsu and Water Jet Sport Bikes as the “Happy” day for UAE sports, describing the outcome of the medals as a product of the great efforts exerted by these federations, congratulating the people and the leadership of UAE and confirming the ability of the UAE champions to win more medals during the tournament.
He noted that alongside the jujitsu and the Water Jet Sport Bikes, there are other games that are likely to win medals and put our athletes on the podiums.
Ghanim Al Marri, Head of the Marine Games delegation, described the medal achieved by Ali Allingawi as a medal equal to 8 gold medals, because it came after extraordinary efforts and amid great challenges and compitition to the world champions, especially by the Chinese and the Indonesians. They were alongside our champion till the last second of the last round which our champion took as a special challenge.
