Reception of the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta

HE Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Sports (GAS), met with HE Maria Camilleri Kalia, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the UAE. The meeting was held at GAS's headquarters in Dubai in the presence of HE Khalid Issa Al Midfaa, Assistant Secretary-General. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop sports relations and aspects of cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Malta, as well as global-level sports issues and the impact of global events on sports. In addition, experiences and challenges between the two countries in the sports sector were tackled. The two sides stressed the importance of promoting bilateral relations between the two countries in the sports sector, with the need to cement and strengthen joint cooperation through signing a memorandum of understanding. The meeting was attended by Mr. Omar Abdel Rahman, Director of Sports Affairs Department, Mrs. Huda Matar, Head of External Relations Department, and Mr. Hassan Al-Ramsi, Protocol and Hospitality Officer at GAS.
