Flag Day

H.E. Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Sports (GAS), congratulated His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their brothers, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and the Emirati people, on the occasion of the "Flag Day", the banner of glory and majesty, which falls on November 3rd of each year. His Excellency stressed, "The Flag Day, which comes to reflect our strong unity and cohesion for a homeland, deserves to be raised with pride and dignity wherever we are on the earth. This dear occasion comes to commemorate the most important immortal and historical phases our beloved country has gone through since the inception of the Union up to raising the UAE flag on Mars.” "Our celebration of raising the UAE flag expresses our loyalty to the homeland and identity and the depth of belonging among all the Emirati people, and an affirmation of our sincerity to all the arms that carried and protected it for the stability and protection of this homeland," added His Excellency. His Excellency concluded, "Our wise leadership will remain a source of pride and honor for their devotion to continuing our successful march for a future abundant with achievements and bright with hopes and aspirations for generations to come."
