The fifth meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Sport

His Excellency Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The General Authority for Sport, chaired the fifth meeting of the Board of Directors, which was held Thursday morning at the headquarters of the Authority in Dubai in the presence of all members and the General Secretariat of the Authority.
The Sport Law
The Board reviewed the first draft of the Sport Law, prepared by the committee headed by Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, Abdul Aziz Al Numan, Mohammed Sharif Al Awadi and Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, in addition to Badr Al Hammadi from the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Authority, and other legal advisors and experts. Notes were taken and the time plan to launch the law, which will determine the nature of sport and its objectives and roles and responsibilities between the federal bodies and sport federations, commensurate with the law and policies of the UAE.
National Anti - Doping Committee
The Council also reviewed the activities of the National Anti-Doping Committee during the previous period and reviewed its future plans, which were developed by the Committee for discussion and opinion.
Gifted athletes fund
The Board also reviewed the work mechanism of the Fund for supporting and sponsoring gifted athletes in the United Arab Emirates and the formation of a technical committee to lay the foundations and criteria for the activation of the Fund and the selection of gifted athletes under the chairmanship of Abdul Mohsen Al Dosari.
