Youth National Conference

It is a conference for the elite youth in the UAE which reviews and discusses youth-related issues and identifies the necessary requirements for coping with the future.
Target:
Young people from the age of 11 to age 25.
Location of Implementation:
Phase One: Year 2010 - in the Intercontinental-Festival City Hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
Objectives:
- To present the Authority's strategy in the youth sector.
- To discuss youth-related issues from a free youth prospective.
- To identify the requirements youth need to cope with the future.
- To communicate with partners and concerned parties in order to unify the vision and coordinate operations.
- To identify the challenges that youth encounter and the means of handling these challenges.
Main programs and events:
First Session
- First paper: “The Security of Youth in the Age of Globalization and Open Space,” delivered by Dr. Jassim Khalil Merza, of Dubai Police GHQ.
- Second paper: “The International Concept of Youth Care,” managed by HE Ali Al Romaithi, Board Member of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare and delivered by Mr. Ilias El Zain, Chairman of UNESCO Club in Tunisia.
Second Session
- First paper: “Youth and Challenges of the Emirates Family,” managed by Dr. Ghaith Al Suwaidi, the Executive Director of HR Sector of the Community Development Authority and delivered by Habiba Al Hawsani of the Marriage Fund.
- Second paper: “The Strategy of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare,” delivered by Jamal Al Hamadi, Director of the Department of Youth and Cultural Activities, which tackled the main youth initiatives delivered in 2012/2013, as dedicated to the youth sector with a focus on the talented care programs and Emirates Volunteer programs and the preparation of youth leadership and external participations.
