HE Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Sports, received at the Authority’s headquarters in Dubai, HE Mohammed bin Sulayem, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee.

During the meeting, many issues of concern to the sports sector in the UAE were discussed, especially collaboration on the level of joint work, as well as ways to enhance and develop cooperation for the benefit of the sports sector in the UAE. HE Abdul Ghaffar stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the Authority and the National Olympic Committee in the coming period in various administrative, technical, legal and organizational aspects of the work of the two organizations in charge of sports in the UAE. An in-depth discussion took place about the United Arab Emirates participation in the Tokyo 2020 competitions, the technical and financial requirements, and how to enhance the role of sports federations in the UAE and support its plans and programs as part of preparing for the upcoming events in line with the aspirations and visions of the wise leadership.
