Al Rumaithi receives Bahraini Minister of Youth and Sports and discusses enhancing joint sports role

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports received Thursday at the Authority’s Hall at the headquarters of the Authority in Dubai HE Hisham Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth and Sports of Bahrain in a friendly meeting to promote joint relations in the field of sport.
Maj. Gen. Mohammed Khalfan Al-Rumaithi welcomed the Minister and praised the relations between the two countries in the sports field and what the sport represent for each country. The two sides also discussed a number of topics on sport participation and sport infrastructure owned by UAE and Bahrain in their institutions and sports facilities
Al-Rumaithi said that the meeting is a continuation of the joint role and the embodiment of the bilateral relations between the two countries, to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences and visits between the two countries in the sports aspects and unifying the vision and decision in all Arab and regional sports positions with Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Al-Rumaithi added that Bahrain is one of the countries that have achieved outstanding successes in the field of sports, and their experience is rich in this aspect and internationally recognized, whether in individual games such as athletics, or group games such as handball.
Stressing the keenness of UAE to establish effective and distinguished relations with different countries based on mutual respect, cooperation and deepening brotherly ties and friendship with peoples.
For his part, Bahrain's Minister of Youth and Sports Hisham Al-Jowder expressed his optimism for the results and interest of the UAE, especially those responsible for the General Authority for Sports in the country, praising the UAE sport and its achievements and the upcoming tournaments in the UAE organizing, he stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to strngthen relations of friendship and love with the UAE through cooperation in the fields of physical education and sports.
The meeting was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Raed Mohammed Al Zaabi, Board Member of the Authority, Deputy Director of Civil Defense Centers in Ajman and Adnan Ali Al Zaabi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Authority Director of Drug Control Department in Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ibrahim Abdul Malik Mohammed, Secretary-General of the Authority, and Abdul Mohsen Fahd Al-Dosari, Assistant Secretary-General for Sports Affairs
