The “General Authority of Sports” organizes a lecture on orthopedic medicine SACRO-OCCIPITAL BALANCE

Through the virtual ZOOM application, the General Authority of Sports organized a lecture on "Osteopathy", which witnessed wide participation of representatives of sports federations and segments of society interested in orthopedic medicine and its impact on the health of the spine of athletes in particular and physical activity in general. This scientific lecture, which was organized in cooperation with the "German Arab Scientific Academy AGSA", aims to shed light on many health problems associated with muscular imbalance in the spine and the role of osteopathy in diagnosing and treating these cases from a comprehensive and new medical principle, which is the sacral balance - The occipital spine" and how to stimulate the cranial nerves to restore balance to the muscles. The lecture was moderated by Mr. Yahya Qabbani from the General Authority of Sports and Dr. Majid Sansour, a specialist in orthopedic medicine from the German Academy, who presented to the participants the causes of the loss of the sacral-occipital balance of the spine due to several factors, including surgeries - sports injuries and inflammations, which in turn lead to adhesions in the fascias surrounding the muscles and vital organs, which leads to a craniofacial and hormonal imbalance. The lecture also tackled the causes of fascial adhesion attributed to several factors, the most important of which are sports injuries, insufficient movement of organs of the body, interruption of communication between the hormonal system, nerves, and gastrointestinal disorders. This lecture coincides with the resumption of sporting activity in the UAE, and to reinforce the concept of sports medicine and its importance to identify injuries that sometimes pose a great danger to the future of players in their practice of sport. The lecture also reflects the General Authority of Sports keenness to present new and advanced concepts in sports medicine and the health of athletes and raise awareness among practitioners of Sports medicine in the governmental and private sports sectors to protect athletes from the consequences of sports injuries that may threaten their sports career and impede the development of national sport.
