Meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Sports

Chairman of General Authority for Sports (GAS), HE Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, inaugurated the fifth meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Sports 2019, in the presence of all members, on Wednesday morning at the GAS's headquarters in Dubai.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors of the GAS approved the separation of the Emirates Archery Federation from the Emirates Shooting Federation and the formation of a board of directors for the Emirates Archery Federation and another board of directors of the Emirates Archery Federation, in accordance with the laws, regulations and statues in force in respect of the two federations.
The Council adopted the regulations on the requirements of the association and clubs, in addition to the approval of additional financial support to participate in the preparation of national teams, in accordance with the programs issued by the sports federations in the country.
It was agreed in principle to draft the statutes of the sports federations in preparation for circulation to all sports authorities in the country. The Council was briefed on the latest developments concerning the Emirates Fund for the support and sponsorship of sports talents and the date of the start of medical tests and laboratory tests and field tests for talented athletes who have been targeted by the program, scheduled to be held next Saturday morning. The Council also approved the final results of the digital sports platform "Marsad" which will be announced in the next phase.
