The General Authority of Sports launches a guide of precautionary controls for the resumption of sporting activities

The General Authority of Sports organized a "distant" workshop with the participation of a large number of representatives of sports federations, and in the presence of HE Abdul Mohsen Al-Dossary, Assistant Secretary-General for Sports Affairs at the General Authority of Sports. The workshop discussed "the guide to precautionary controls for the resumption of sports activities" in the UAE. The guide comes as part of a series of measures and decisions particularly taken by the General Authority of Sports, concerning a gradual resumption of sporting activity. HE Abdul Mohsen Al-Dossary stressed that "The guide is binding on all for the sake of the safety of the sports sector. We are desirous to resume sports activity, but this must be thoroughly and carefully studied to avoid any losses." Mr. Omar Khalaf and Mr. Tamer Ezz El-Din from the Sports Affairs Department reviewed the most important pillars mentioned in the precautionary controls guide for the resumption of sports activities under the title "How do sports federations start with the return of activities" according to the adopted precautionary measures, including general controls and procedures in cases of sterilization and cases of suspected infected cases. In addition, they addressed cases in which players are prevented from practicing sports activity, procedures for players and coaches, pre-training and post-training procedures, as well as procedures and controls for the work of sports facilities. It was also stressed that federations should put their own controls for each game based on the precautionary measures of their international federations and the characteristics of each game in terms of the players mixing with each other and the places of practising these games.
