Abdul-Ghaffar discusses enhancing cooperation with Russian Duma delegation

Yesterday, Said Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, Secretary General of the General Authority for Sports (GAS) received, Saitiev Buvaisar, member of the Russian State Duma and Coordinator of the Relationship Group with the Federal National Council and his accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the meeting, Said Abdul Ghaffar welcomed the delegation, praising the relations between the two countries in the field of sports, and importance of sport for both countries. The two sides also discussed a number of topics on sports participations and infrastructure owned by the UAE and Russia in their institutions and sports facilities.
Abdul Ghaffar said that the meeting is a continuation of the joint role and activation of cooperation and exchange of experiences and visits between the two countries in sports aspects, stressing the UAE's keenness to establish effective and distinguished relations with various countries of the world, based on mutual respect and cooperation and deepening the bonds of friendship with peoples.
The meeting also was among the preparation process for mutual visits between the two parties in line with activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the parties in 2015.
The meeting was attended by Khalid Issa Al-Midfa, Assistant Secretary General of the GAS, Khalid Al Kaabi, Director of Government Communication Department, Omar Abdulrahman Al Ali, Head of the Olympic Committee, federations, associations, a number of directors of departments and heads of departments in GAS.
